As a Medicare beneficiary, you have the option of enrolling in Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage (Medicare Part D) to help cover your prescription drug costs. Medicare Part D coverage is accessible in two ways.

  • If you have Original Medicare, Medicare Part D isn’t automatically included in your plan; instead, you can get this by enrolling in a separate Medicare Prescription Plan.
  • If you have Medicare Part C, you can get prescription plan benefits by enrolling in a Medicare Advantage plan that includes this coverage.

Our consultants are ready to help you find the best prescription plans that will help cover the costs of your prescription drugs.

Joining a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan
To join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan, you are required to have Medicare Part A or Part B. You must also be living in the service area of the Medicare Drug Plan you want to join.

All Prescription Drug Plans are required to have at least a standard level of coverage set by Medicare. However, please take note that Medicare Drug Plans offer numerous combinations of cost sharing and coverage. For instance, plans may differ in the prescription drugs that they cover, its costs, and which pharmacies can be used.

Note: If you have (or are eligible for) other types of prescription drug coverage, make sure to review all of the materials that you receive from your plan provider. If you are feeling confused and overwhelmed, our consultants can help review the material you have. This way, you will have thoroughly reviewed all of your options before making any changes to your current coverage.
